5 TIPS FOR A SWIMMER WITHOUT A POOL. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

TIPS FOR SWIMMING WITHOUT A POOL:

Although a number of swimming pools have now reopened their doors to a limited extent, many swimming pools have been closed for quite a few weeks. Where it was all awkward in the beginning, it is now becoming more and more normal. We can't or much less swim in the pool. And that means that we are massively creative in alternative training. The nicest things happen with lifeguard training near me.







But how do you recognize an addicted swimmer who can't swim for a while? You know, a swimmer without a pool. What do they actually do? 5 tips a swimmer can do without a pool. And in which I myself am guilty of all 5 ;).

Indispensable actually. Even when we could still swim. And so you can still do some swimming related exercises. So I regularly lie on a stool, tied to the table with a resistance elastic to 'swim'. Or do I do land training in front of the television. If only we could have pictures of all the houses ;).

WETSUIT!!! I must have that

Not just me, but the run on wetsuits is suddenly big. And all other neoprene accessories. We like to get into the open water as soon as possible. But beware, it is still cold. Especially if you are untrained something to take into account. The minimum temperature for me is therefore 15 degrees. Never go alone, bring a buddy and a swimming buoy.

Children's pool gets a new dimension:

Open water still too cold? But you can't control yourself, can you? The children's pools suddenly take on a whole new dimension. Together with an elastic band, it suddenly turns out to give excellent cheap endless pools experiences.

I doubted for a long time. But I'll be honest. Our daughters were also blinking their eyes when they woke up in the morning and their pool suddenly stood up.

And in all honesty, it's actually going better than I expected. You can swim in it just fine. It is less challenging, but it is sufficient in controlling the withdrawal symptoms.

Running and cycling is suddenly attractive again:

Did you never see me running again after my triathlon adventure. I now run past a few times a week. Or pedal away for miles in the sun on your racing bike. I secretly catch myself that I often think about swimming while exercising. But that's only good for motivation. Running and cycling will therefore not beat my relatively new swimming love, but it is still nice to keep working  with lifeguard course near me.

And for the motivation if we are allowed again later. Then you can always read a book about swimming. Or watch videos about technology. Visualization helps in the learning process. If you are going to do a course later or pick up your technique lessons again, you are already prepared.
